Did I sleep wrong or something and not hit my growth spurt?

Yesterday, I was feeling SO HUNGRY and consumed about 4,000 calories that day and was still kind of hungry so I drank water. During my sleep, I could feel my ligaments becoming numb and feeling like they were extending so I tried to sleep in one position to try and let the growth take effect but it was SO HARD! Because I am so used to being a wiggle worm at night and so I kept moving. And now it is the next day and I am really depressed because I was expecting a big growth spurt because I need one :(. Did I miss out on a growth spurt and do you have to sleep in a PERFECT position to reach it?
