Is there anything wrong with not producing my own beats as a amateur rapper?
Today, I got an anonymous question asking "When are you going to start making your own beats? Can't keep stealing others bro." This question really bothered me because the person made it seem like I'm stealing beats from others . So I like to rap (Not like hardcore, just for fun) and I post some amatuer music I make on youutbe, Tumblr, etc and the beats I used are usually free ones that are overused by many people. I use free beats from producers such as TDotC, NeonKue, CR beats who give out free beats as long as we give them credit in which I do. It's not like I call my songs "Original." I just make some songs with friends for fun, and I have no interest in making my own beats since it's time consuming and I'm not that serious about rap.. Sorry for going off topic but that question really bothered me. It makes me feel like I shouldn't rap because all the beats I use aren't produced by myself.
